About

I’m a IT entrepreneur and designer in my early 30s who loves to design and execute technology-based business concepts and products in teams of creative designers and developers and involved customers.

I’m a indomitable survivor full of grit, but at the same time sensitive and compassionate. A believer in the unbreakable spirit of life. I love learning, exploring, and playing. And I love my beautiful girlfriend; a kind, loving, and kindred spirit who is a perfect companion for me.

My professional interests lie in the intersection between computer science, data science, machine learning, software architecture, Big Data, statistical analysis, data and information visualization, gamification, model thinking, logic, the Internet of Things, makerspaces, hackable hardware, aestehical and agile software development, UX and UI design, mobile health, and digital arts. I fancy aesthetical computing, and I have mechanical sympathy.

Also, I am fond of furniture and lighting design, 3D graphics, photography, psychology, philosophy, robots, writing, music, vintage calculators, meditation, poetry and lo-fi technology.

I started my first IT company at the age of 18, and I have a 14-year track record of running an IT company full-time with employees, profits and no outside capital injected. However, now that I’ve tried standing alone at the rudder for quite some time, I would like my career to evolve in companionship with likeminded entrepreneurs, designers and developers.

Tool-wise I work a lot with with Ruby, Python, Go, Javascript and HTML5, Angular, PhoneGap/Cordoba, Java, Groovy, Scala, RDBMS, NoSQL and NewSQL (especially Redis, MongoDB and Neo4J), Postgres, SQLite, Hadoop, Spark, R, Matlab/Octave, D3, C, Vagrant, Docker, CoreOS, FreeBSD, Linux and OS X, Arduino, Raspberry Pi and hobby electronics – and a lot more. I learn what I need along the way and consider myself a lifelong learner.

Get in touch, if you would like to build something cool with me – or simply like to chat. :-)
