I am fond of MOOCs, and I can recommend a lot of them.
I’m interested in a lot of domains, and the possibility of studying many diverse topics – while in the same time having them presented by some of the world’s best educators – is really a pleasure. I am especially intrigued by how some of the educators are able to convey the complicated concepts in mathematics, statistics, physics, and computer science, and I enjoy the fantastic pedagogics that some of these courses feature.
Here’s a shortlist of some of my recent favourites.
- “Learning How to Learn” (https://www.coursera.org/course/learning)
- “Introduction to Mathematical Thinking” (https://www.coursera.org/course/maththink)
- “Data Analysis and Statistical Inference” (https://www.coursera.org/course/statistics)
- “Model Thinking” (https://www.coursera.org/course/modelthinking)
- “Design: Creation of Artifacts in Society” (https://www.coursera.org/course/design)
